Interview Platforms

Using KickRecruit with Zoom

KickRecruit runs as an overlay on top of Zoom. Your interviewer sees your screen — they don't see the overlay.

1

Start your Zoom meeting

Open Zoom and join the interview call like you normally would. Get your camera and mic sorted before activating KickRecruit.

2

Activate KickRecruit

Press your shortcut (⌘+⇧+S on Mac, Ctrl+Shift+S on Windows) to capture the problem. KickRecruit reads your screen and starts generating hints. The overlay sits on top of Zoom but is completely invisible to screen share — your interviewer sees only the Zoom window.

3

Work through the problem

KickRecruit gives you nudges, not full answers. Use ⌘+K to ask follow-ups, ⌘+↑/↓ to scroll, and ⌘+⇧+M to switch between coding, system design, and behavioral modes.

4

Hide instantly if needed

Press ⌘+⇧+H to hide the overlay completely. Press the same combo to bring it back. The overlay never shows up in recordings or screenshots.
